IPC JStd001 - Requirements for Soldered Electrical & Electronic Assemblies Training & Certification

The goal of this course is to help electronics manufacturers produce high-quality goods at a reasonable cost by giving them a better understanding of the soldering and assembly processes through "standard" training. This lesson is a great introduction to the science and art of soldering electrical assemblies, and it gives students confidence in their abilities.

Training Topics Include:  

• Module 1 – Overview of J-STD-001 requirements and general requirements.  
• Module 2 – Study of the J-STD requirements applicable to the assembly and soldering of Wires and Terminals, and practical exercises for the development and demonstration of soldering skills. 
• Module 3 – Study of the J-STD requirements applicable to the assembly and soldering of Through Hole connections, and practical exercises for the development and demonstration of soldering skills. 
• Module 4 – Study of the J-STD requirements applicable to the assembly and soldering of Surface Mount components, and practical exercises for development and demonstration of soldering skills.
• Module 5 – Study of the theory and application of Inspection Techniques required by the J-STD, and a practical exercise to develop and demonstrate inspection skills.
